Is there a way to burn two Slideshows to the one DVD? Appreciate your clear instructions and your willingness to accept questions. Thank you. You can create as many separate slideshows as you choose. You can configure the menu behavior to do quite a few different things. If you want them to play in succession, you can set it up to do that, too.
Also, to follow up on my response to Greg Hutchinson, I have been trying for two weeks to install Nero 9 on my bit Vista Business notebook with no luck. I sent them some in-depth debug information last week and have yet to hear back from them.
Thank you for your prompt response, I will start exploring the configuration settings and get on with it. Hey Curtiss, What is the procedure step by step after creating multiple slide shows to burn them to a DVD that will play each slide show in succession without any futher user intervention? Hi- What type of audio file is correct? I am having troubles dragging it in. Not working correctly.
Hi I am using nero 9 I placed all my photos in the correct order that I wanted hit the save button in vision however I had to leave this part of program when i came back i had to open file but cannot find file if i hit the find a very small box opens to find files very frustrased to find. I just tried creating a slideshow, and Nero seems to make all my pictures fuzzy and blurry?
They are fine, but once they are loaded in, they get all fuzzy. Any idea why this is happening, and what I can do to stop it? Hello Curtis I have read your article on making a photo slide show in nero vision, however I can put in my pics and audio track clicked the more button but the fit slideshow to duration to audio duration is greyed out and I cannot use it.
It sounds to me as though the music is getting added to the timeline with the photos, rather than being added as the soundtrack of the project. When I try to burn my slideshow Nero rejects the operation saying that files are wrong format.
I have used various file format conversion programmes and tried different formats without sucess. Hi I cant seem to get the slideshow to accept any audio tells me unable to insert file. I am trying to edit a video that I made using my camera but I am unable to drag the video file into Nero. Is it possible to combine my homemade videos with photos and music on Nero?
If so, how? I appreciate any help! I have just created a slideshow on Nero 10 with audio files. When the required display time in seconds is reached Clicking 'Ok' will set the display time for that image in the timeline.
Options within this feature can be used to change individual frames or to change all of the images within the timeline to the same viewing time! Close 'My Media' it is highlighted in red at the top middle of this screenshot by clicking on the small triangle at the end of it's dialogue box.

By similar means open up the 'effects palette' and click the 'transition' icon, scroll down and drag and drop 'crossfade' to the first empty transition block. I've used this one simply because I like it.
There are many different types and styles to choose from in the effects palette. Random transitions can be set in the empty boxes or all of one type. For this project I've decided to use the same video transitions.
If at any time an error is made then the undo feature will delete the last action carried out. The feature will show it's availability when it is highlighted in blue. The icons for these two actions are two curling arrows set in small boxes at the bottom of the screen, one curling arrow points to the left which is the 'undo' feature and the one next to it is the re-do feature. Click it once and the last action will be deleted, click twice the the last two actions will be deleted and so on.
Conversely Re-do the arrow pointing to the right will undo the last deletion. Deletion of any part of the project can usually be carried out by left clicking that particular element and in the opening drop down dialogue box 'Delete' is often offered amongst the options. Right click on the transition box and choose 'Apply selected transition to all transition fields'. All empty transition blocks will now be the same. You can see in the picture highlighted in red pen all the filled transition boxes.
Now with all the transition boxes filled the very first transition should be deleted. Simply left click to bring up the drop down box and click delete. This action will prevent the video from having a black screen lead in as shown in the section 12 picture.
As a matter of good practice save the project at regular intervals. The first 'Save' was explained in step 9. Consequent saves will not bring up the save box as in the first save, Nero will update the project in the background and a small dialogue box will be shown centre screen as it is doing so. It is not necessary to use the 'Save As' feature for this project. Left click the video preview 'stop' icon highlighted in red and numbered 1.
This action will then position the 'timeline' indicator highlighted in red and numbered 3 to it's home location which by default is at the beginning of the first frame in.
This action will then position the 'timeline' indicator highlighted in red and numbered 3 to it's home location which by default is at the beginning of the first frame in the timeline. It does not matter where in the videos timeline you are viewing in the preview window, clicking stop will always stop the video and set the timeline indicator to home.
Click the 'play' icon highlighted in red and numbered 2 to preview the video and the time line indicator synchronises it's position with that of the video frame in the preview box. Click the 'play' icon again and the video will pause. The Timeline indicator can be moved left or right in the time frame simply by left clicking hold and drag. This action is synchronised to the preview window. There are other video control buttons but at this moment in time it is not necessary for them to be mentioned.
Close the effects pallet in the manner described in section 11 then click the 'Audio' icon and in a similar manner to when positioning images drag and drop the sound file to the beginning of the 'Music timeline'. The sound file cannot be positioned i. Nero 11 recognises most sound file types such as MP3 and these can be incorporated into any video or slide show creation.
They are imported to Nero 11 the same way as image files as described in section 6. For this project we are not using an imported sound file we are using a sample file that is shipped with Nero Close the effects palette in the manner described in section 11 then click the 'Audio' icon highlighted in red and in a similar manner to when positioning images drag and drop the sound file to the beginning of the 'Music timeline' highlighted in red.
The sound file cannot be positioned in any other section of the timeline other than the 'music' section. The action of drag, dropping and positioning has been highlighted in red. Previewing the video with sound brings your creation to life. The time is is displayed as The mark out pointer has been dragged towards the centre to the left to shorten the soundtrack. The length of the sound track is displayed in the 'mark out' dialog. This guide does not en-scope the whole functionality of 'Trim' editing, it explains only how to shorten the end of the music to fit the slideshow timeline.
The slide show length is displayed in a dialogue box along the top of the timeline, just above the images. In the case of this project at this moment in time it plays for 1 minutes and 1 second. Scroll to the end of the music timeline and click the icon highlighted in red to enable the 'Trim' dialogue.
A box pops up in the middle of the screen with the sound displayed as a wave pattern. The sound wave now has it's own timeline that can be edited, two scale pointers are placed at the beginning and end of the sound wave, both of which can be moved. The scale pointer mark in to the left trims into the start of the sound wave and the scale pointer to the right highlighted in red mark out trims into the end of the sound wave.
In this project only the 'mark out' scale pointer will be used. Add music and elements. Play finished slideshow. Refine photos with automatic tools and various effects, create slideshows from photos and videos, and enrich them with music, movie design templates, and opening and closing credits.
